Adult Sunday School Classes – 2017-2018: 9:30 – 10:30AM
Vocation ~ A Place for Young Adults: C-7
We are a group of young adults…in college and out of college…who gather each week to explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Our discussions are open and honest as we look at the Christian faith including prayer, worship, service, etc. All are welcome for bagels, coffee, and a safe place to be and grow.
The Wired Word: Parlor
Each week, we’ll be discussing a current event and looking at that event through the eyes of scripture. This internet-based curriculum identifies the subject on Thursday each week, so the topic for discussion is new and fresh every Sunday. Sometimes, the topic at hand is the big news of the week and other times is comes from the world of sports, pop culture, politics or medicine. All are invited to join this group for a stimulating and timely discussion.
If you love to dig deeply into a good book and wrestle with questions of faith and theology, then this is the class for you! Every week we will take time to ponder and discuss a chapter in a current theological work and this year, our main focus will be on the Reformation and the impact it has had these 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church.
Family Matters Room: C-8
If you are looking for a group of parents who support, encourage and pray for one another as they study together about issues related to raising children and sharing faith with their families, then this group is for you. Through the year, we will look at a variety of DVD and book studies that will guide our discussions.
This class offers a variety of topics taught by some great leaders! In a three to six week series, you will learn about and engage in discussion about our confessions, heaven, stories in scripture around a meal, the will of God and much more! All are invited to join us for wonderful presentations and lively discussions. Invite a friend!
