All women are invited to participate in one of our exciting circles (small group gatherings) which meet once a month through May. Each one is unique in its own way and designed to strengthen your relationship with God as you interact through fellowship and service with other women in our church and community. For more information about any of the circles, please contact the church office at 713.467-2234 and ask for contact information for the Moderator of the circle in which you have interest. A brief description of each follows..
Potpourri is an eclectic group of women from the ages of twenty-something to timeless. Each month we will discuss a topic that is relevant to our lives and helps us grow closer to the Lord. Our circle of friends will meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm (6:30 pm for fellowship) in various homes. We will also be meeting in a restaurant once in the fall and once in the spring. Please join us as we continue to develop friendships while sharing our fellowship, faith and fun.
Helen Haynes Drama & Literature is a group that examines the Christian faith and impact on the world through the medium of the Arts. Each month a member leads a discussion of a book review or play of their choice. Once a year, the group attends a performance of a local play. The circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in a member’s home.
Clara Gay is a group of “mature” women who are young at heart! This year’s course is the Horizon Bible study entitled “Who Is Jesus?”. Each month’s lesson is led by a member of the group. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. They gather for lunch at 12:00 in room C-3 with the Bible study following.
Miriam is a lively group of (mostly) professional and retired women, so this evening circle is wonderful opportunity for those who have worked all day to come and be with friends. They use the Horizon’s Bible study, titled, “Who Is Jesus?”. This circle shares the hostess and facilitator duties and enjoys the different perspectives offered by different leaders. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in room C-3 at 7:30 pm.
