Infant and Toddler Care
Our mission at Pines is to nurture children with loving care while helping them to experience the love of Christ, through Bible study, service, relationships, and play.
Pines provides care for infants and young children during the two Sunday morning services as well as other church related functions, so that parents may participate in worship and other activities at Pines.
Sunday Morning Schedule
Child care is provided for infants through age 35 months.
Sunday School: Ages 3 years old – 5th Grade
Our Sunday morning classes provide a place where children can grow together in their faith, and grow their relationship with Christ and with each other.
3 years old through Kindergarten: Children will participate in the curriculum called: Growing in Grace and Gratitude. Each lesson shares a Bible story that reveals God’s grace for us. Through fun, age-appropriate activities, prayer, and singing, children and their leaders will celebrate the meaning of grace in their lives as they encounter a living God.
1st Grade through 2nd Grade: Children will participate in the curriculum called: Growing in Grace and Gratitude. Each lesson shares a Bible story that reveals God’s grace for us. Through fun, age-appropriate activities, prayer, and singing, children and their leaders will celebrate the meaning of grace in their lives as they encounter a living God.
3rd Grade through 5th Grade: The Explorers Class – This class learns about the Bible and the church. Their lessons rotate between Bible study, service to the church and to others, both locally and globally, and fun Bible-centered activities.
During the 11:00 service children ages 3 1/2 through 3rd grade are invited to come up to the steps for a Gathering for Children lesson. They then go with a trained teacher and trained teens to participate in Kids’ Worship. They will learn about and participate in prayer and worship, and contribute an offering that helps in various outreach projects.
Worship Bags are available for children to use during both Sunday morning services. The Worship Bags can be found at the back of the sanctuary. In their Sunday school classes, the children will learn ways to participate in the service that brings them into the experience and makes it a time of growth and connection with their Pines family. Please be sure to return the bags in good order before leaving the service.
Each child is paired with an adult prayer pal who makes a commitment to pray for that child each day. Prayer Pals send birthday cards, holiday cards, and attend church sponsored Prayer Pal events. In return, the child prays for their adult Prayer Pal, creating a unique friendship that can last a lifetime.
